Job Summary

Opticon Technology is looking for an experienced General Manager – Security Services & PSARA Operations to lead and manage the company’s security services business. The candidate will be responsible for overall security operations, manpower deployment, PSARA compliance, client management, business development, recruitment, training, and profitability.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in managing private security agencies, security guards, supervisors, PSARA-related operations, corporate/institutional clients, and large manpower contracts.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the overall PSARA and security services operations of the company.
- Ensure compliance with PSARA requirements, applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, and government regulations.
- Manage security manpower deployment across client locations and ensure proper attendance and discipline.
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate, industrial, institutional, commercial, residential, and government clients.
- Identify and generate current business opportunities for security manpower contracts.
- Prepare and participate in security service tenders, quotations, RFPs, and government/private contracts.
- Monitor contract execution, manpower requirements, deployment schedules, and client commitments.
- Lead recruitment and selection of Security Guards, Supervisors, Gunmen, PSOs, Security Officers, and other security personnel.
- Establish effective recruitment and manpower sourcing channels to meet deployment requirements.
- Ensure proper induction, training, grooming, discipline, and conduct of deployed security personnel.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of client sites to ensure service quality.
- Handle client complaints, operational issues, manpower shortages, absenteeism, and replacements.
- Develop systems for attendance, salary inputs, overtime, leave,



uniform, ID cards, and deployment records.
- Coordinate with HR, Operations, Finance, and Management for smooth execution of security contracts.
- Monitor operational costs, manpower costs, billing, collections, and contract profitability.
- Maintain proper records and documentation related to security personnel and client contracts.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities wherever required for statutory and security-related matters.
- Develop SOPs, reporting systems, escalation procedures, and operational controls for security services.
- Lead and manage Security Operations Managers, Supervisors, Field Officers, and other operational staff.
- Regularly report business development, deployment, compliance, client issues, revenue, and profitability to the management.
- Represent the company in important client meetings, contract negotiations, inspections, and business discussions.

Business Development Responsibilities

- Develop a strong pipeline of new security service clients.
- Target government departments, PSUs, educational institutions, hospitals, hotels, factories, offices, residential societies, warehouses, malls, and commercial establishments.
- Track government tenders and e-procurement opportunities related to security manpower.
- Prepare commercial proposals and coordinate with the tender team for bid submission.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, manpower requirements, and service terms with prospective clients.




- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and institutional clients.

Candidate Profile

- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the security services/private security agency sector.
- Strong knowledge of PSARA and security agency operations.
- Experience in handling large-scale security manpower deployment will be preferred.
- Experience with government/institutional security contracts and tenders will be an advantage.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-management abilities.
- Robust understanding of security manpower costing and operational profitability.
- Ability to manage multiple client locations and large teams.
- Strong administrative, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Should be capable of independently managing the security services vertical.

Compensation

- Salary: Competitive / As per experience and industry standards.
- Final compensation will be discussed based on the candidate's experience, expertise, and business-handling capability.

Preferred Background

Candidates currently working or previously working as General Manager, Regional Manager, Operations Head, Security Operations Head, Business Head, Area Head, or Senior Manager in a reputed private security agency are encouraged to apply.
