Job Summary

We are hiring Graduate Trainees – Automotive / Mechanical for one of our valuable customers.

This opportunity is suitable for freshers who have a good understanding of automotive systems, components, assemblies, and basic Bill of Materials (BOM) concepts. The selected candidates will work on automotive engineering and benchmarking-related activities while gaining practical industry exposure.

Education Required

- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma / ITI in:
- Automobile Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Production Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- or any equivalent/relevant technical discipline

Experience

- Freshers
- Candidates with relevant academic projects or internship exposure in automotive engineering, BOM activities, part identification, or technical documentation will have an added advantage.

Required Skills & Knowledge

- Good understanding of automotive systems, components, assemblies, and terminology.
- Basic understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) structure and hierarchy.
- Ability to identify and classify automotive parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
- Basic knowledge of BOM preparation, validation, updating, and component mapping.
- Understanding of major vehicle systems such as Body, Chassis, Interior, Exterior, Powertrain, Electrical & Electronics, and HVAC.
- Ability to understand part descriptions, specifications, and basic engineering information.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Basic presentation and documentation skills.




- Valuable written and verbal communication skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Understand customer and project requirements.
- Support BOM preparation, updating, validation, and component mapping activities.
- Identify automotive parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
- Maintain accurate component hierarchy and product structure in the BOM.
- Support automotive benchmarking and component-level study activities.
- Maintain project trackers, reports, and documentation.
- Follow defined SOPs, checklists, work instructions, and project processes.
- Ensure assigned activities meet required quality and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate effectively with internal teams and project stakeholders.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and proactively communicate any issues.
- Continuously improve automotive product knowledge and technical skills.
