Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Project Engineer to manage and execute plant engineering projects from planning through commissioning. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating civil, mechanical, electrical, utility and equipment installation activities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and as per the required technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate and execute new plant projects, expansion projects and equipment installation/modification activities.
- Prepare project schedules, execution plans, activity timelines and track progress against planned milestones.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Electrical, Quality, Procurement, Stores and other departments for smooth project execution.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, consultants and equipment suppliers for project-related activities.
- Review equipment specifications, technical drawings, layouts, BOQs and other engineering documents.
- Supervise installation, erection, alignment, commissioning and trial runs of machinery and equipment.
- Monitor civil, mechanical, electrical, piping, utility and fabrication work at the project site.
- Ensure that all equipment and installations are completed as per approved specifications and drawings.
- Identify project-related technical issues and coordinate with concerned teams for timely resolution.
- Monitor project material requirements and coordinate with Procurement and Stores to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Verify vendor/contractor work and support measurement, documentation and bill verification.
- Conduct regular site inspections and prepare project progress reports.
- Ensure proper documentation of project drawings, equipment manuals, commissioning reports, warranties and other relevant records.




- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities and ensure proper handover of completed projects to the concerned department.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety requirements during all project and construction activities.
- Monitor project costs and highlight deviations from approved budgets to management.
- Support the preparation of CAPEX proposals, technical comparisons and project-related documentation.
- Ensure minimum disruption to ongoing plant production during project execution.
- Carry out any other engineering/project-related responsibilities assigned by management.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong project planning and execution skills.
- Good knowledge of industrial machinery, utilities and manufacturing plant infrastructure.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, layouts and technical specifications.
- Good vendor and contractor coordination skills.
- Knowledge of project scheduling, estimation and cost monitoring.
- Robust problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and project documentation.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD / project management software will be an added advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, timelines and cost control.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in dairy, food processing, beverage, FMCG or other manufacturing industries, particularly in plant expansion, machinery installation, utility projects and commissioning, will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
