Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced IT Passive Networking Site Surveyor to conduct site surveys for structured cabling and passive IT infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for understanding site conditions, validating drawings, identifying cable routes, preparing survey reports, and coordinating with project, design, and implementation teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct detailed site surveys for IT passive networking infrastructure.
- Study and understand floor plans, AutoCAD drawings, and networking layouts.
- Identify and validate locations for:
- Data points
- Wi-Fi Access Points
- Network racks
- Server/network rooms
- LIU/ODF
- CCTV points
- Voice points
- Patch panels and Jack Panels
- Survey and identify cable routes, raceways, cable trays, conduits, shafts and pathways.
- Check site readiness for structured cabling installation.
- Measure cable routes and prepare cable length estimation.
- Identify site constraints such as:
- False ceiling conditions
- Raised flooring
- Civil work
- Electrical obstructions
- HVAC/Ducting interference
- Furniture/workstation locations
- Raceway/tray availability
- Verify actual site conditions against approved drawings and highlight deviations.
- Take photographs and maintain proper site survey documentation.
- Prepare detailed Site Survey Reports (SSR) with observations, measurements,



photographs and recommendations.
- Prepare/update AutoCAD drawings based on actual site conditions.
- Mark data points, AP locations, racks, cable routes and other passive networking requirements on drawings.
- Coordinate with Presales, Design, Project and Implementation teams for technical requirements.
- Attend client/vendor coordination meetings and clarify survey observations.
- Prepare BOQ inputs for Cat6/Cat6A cables, patch panels, racks, LIU/ODF, fiber cables, faceplates, modules, cable trays, raceways and accessories.
- Support the project team during implementation by providing accurate survey information.
- Conduct re-surveys whenever there are changes in layout, civil work or customer requirements.
- Maintain proper records of survey reports, drawings, photographs and revisions.

Technical Skills Required

- Good knowledge of Structured Cabling Systems (SCS).
- Knowledge of Cat6/Cat6A copper cabling.
- Basic knowledge of Fiber Optic Cabling, LIU, ODF and splicing.
- Knowledge of Network Racks, Patch Panels, Jack Panels and cable management.
- Understanding of T568A/T568B standards.
- Knowledge of cable tray, raceway, conduit and pathway installation.
- Basic knowledge of Fluke testing,



OTDR and fiber power meter is an advantage.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD for reading and updating networking drawings.
- Ability to understand architectural, electrical and MEP drawings.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office for survey reports and BOQ preparation.
- Ability to take accurate site measurements and prepare material estimates.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Electrical, Electronics, Networking, IT or related field.
- Relevant experience in passive networking / structured cabling will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
