We are looking for a motivated, empathetic, and well-organized Patient Counsellor cum Assistant Admin to join our team at Ghatkopar.

Job Summary

The candidate will be responsible for counselling patients and their attendants regarding eye care procedures and treatment options while assisting in the smooth day-to-day administrative operations of the hospital.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a patient-friendly attitude, basic administrative knowledge, and the ability to coordinate effectively with doctors, patients, and hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Counselling & Coordination

- Counsel patients and attendants regarding cataract surgery, LASIK, ICL, corneal procedures, and other eye care treatments.
- Explain treatment processes, available options, pre-operative preparation, and post-operative care in simple and understandable language.
- Provide information about estimated treatment costs, packages, payment options, and insurance/cashless facilities as per hospital guidelines.
- Assist patients in making informed decisions by addressing routine queries and coordinating with doctors for clinical clarifications.
- Follow up with patients for scheduled consultations, investigations, and surgeries.
- Maintain a positive patient experience throughout their hospital journey.

2. Administrative Responsibilities

- Assist the hospital administration in daily operational activities.
- Coordinate patient appointments, admissions, surgery scheduling, and discharge-related processes.
- Maintain patient records, counselling reports,



and relevant administrative documentation.
- Coordinate with reception, billing, OT, pharmacy, diagnostic, and other departments.
- Monitor daily patient flow and assist in ensuring smooth hospital operations.
- Prepare daily reports related to patient counselling, conversions, follow-ups, and administrative activities.
- Assist in maintaining hospital protocols, documentation, and service quality standards.

3. Patient Conversion & Follow-up

- Conduct systematic follow-ups with patients who have been advised surgery or further treatment.
- Maintain records of counselling outcomes and pending patient decisions.
- Coordinate with the marketing and front-office teams to improve patient engagement and service delivery.
- Work towards achieving patient service and counselling targets set by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Graduate in any discipline. Candidates with backgrounds in Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, Nursing, or Allied Health Sciences will be preferred.
- 1–4 years of experience in patient counselling, hospital front office, healthcare sales, or hospital administration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English, Hindi,



and Marathi is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and hospital management software.
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Presentable, professional, empathetic, and patient-centric approach.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in an eye hospital, multispecialty hospital, or healthcare organization.
- Experience in counselling patients for cataract, LASIK, or other elective surgical procedures.
- Strong follow-up and patient relationship management skills.
- Ability to coordinate with doctors and multiple hospital departments.
- Willingness to take ownership of responsibilities and meet performance expectations.

Working Hours
