Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution

- Take overall responsibility for planning and execution of MEP projects.
- Develop project schedules, execution plans, manpower plans, and resource requirements.
- Monitor project progress against approved timelines, budgets, and milestones.
- Ensure projects are completed within defined time, cost, quality, and safety parameters.
- Identify project risks, delays, technical issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and provide progress updates to management.

2. Electrical Systems

- Lead execution and commissioning of industrial electrical systems.
- Manage HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, PCC/MCC panels, APFC panels, cable laying, earthing, lighting, power distribution, and electrical utilities.
- Review electrical drawings, SLDs, layouts, specifications, and BOQs.
- Coordinate electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and statutory requirements.
- Ensure electrical systems are installed as per approved design, standards, and safety requirements.

3. Fire Fighting & Fire Hydrant Systems

- Manage planning and execution of Fire Hydrant / Fire Fighting Systems.
- Coordinate installation of fire pumps, jockey pumps, hydrant networks, piping, valves, hose reels, hydrants, and related equipment.
- Review hydraulic calculations, layouts, specifications, and testing requirements.
- Ensure testing, commissioning, and compliance with applicable fire safety requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, fire authorities, clients, and third-party agencies as required.

4. Fire Alarm & Fire Detection Systems

- Manage installation and commissioning of Fire Alarm and Fire Detection Systems.
- Coordinate installation of fire alarm panels, smoke/heat detectors, MCPs, hooters, modules, cabling, and related devices.
- Review system drawings, cause & effect matrix, testing procedures, and commissioning requirements.
- Coordinate integration with other safety and building management systems where applicable.

5. HVAC Systems

- Manage HVAC planning, installation, testing, and commissioning for industrial facilities.
- Coordinate installation of AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems, ducting, chilled water/refrigerant piping, exhaust systems, and associated controls.
- Review HVAC layouts, equipment specifications, capacity requirements, and project schedules.
- Monitor HVAC performance, testing, balancing, and commissioning.

6. Plumbing & Utility Systems

- Oversee installation and commissioning of industrial plumbing systems.
- Manage water supply, drainage, sewage, rainwater, utility piping, pumps, tanks, and related systems.
- Review plumbing drawings, layouts, BOQs, and technical specifications.




- Ensure proper testing, pressure testing, commissioning, and handover of systems.

7. Solar Systems

- Manage execution and installation of Solar PV Systems.
- Coordinate solar panel installation, structures, inverters, DC/AC cabling, earthing, protection systems, and grid connectivity.
- Review system design, capacity, drawings, BOQ, and performance requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, utility authorities, and consultants.

8. Design & Technical Coordination

- Review and approve MEP drawings, layouts, BOQs, specifications, and technical submissions.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, structural teams, vendors, and contractors.
- Resolve technical issues and design coordination problems at site.
- Ensure proper integration between Electrical, HVAC, Fire, Plumbing, Solar, and other MEP services.
- Identify design improvements and value-engineering opportunities.

9. Vendor & Contractor Management

- Manage MEP contractors, vendors, consultants, and service providers.
- Evaluate technical proposals and vendor quotations.
- Monitor contractor performance, manpower, productivity, quality, and progress.
- Coordinate procurement of MEP equipment, materials, and critical components.
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per project schedule.

10. Cost & Commercial Management

- Monitor project budgets, BOQs, material consumption, and project costs.
- Review contractor bills, measurement sheets, work orders, and variations.
- Identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.
- Control project expenses without compromising quality and safety.
- Support management in project commercial negotiations where required.

11. Quality, Safety & Compliance

- Ensure MEP works comply with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and project quality standards.
- Implement quality inspection and testing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with electrical and fire safety requirements.
- Monitor site safety practices and ensure adherence to HSE policies.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and statutory approvals.

12. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

- Plan and supervise testing and commissioning of all MEP systems.
- Ensure proper documentation of test reports, inspection reports, and commissioning records.




- Coordinate integrated testing of interconnected systems.
- Prepare snag lists and ensure timely closure.
- Manage final project handover, as-built drawings, O&M; manuals, warranties, and other documentation.

13. Team Leadership & HOD Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the MEP Projects / Engineering team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor performance of engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
- Develop team capabilities and provide technical guidance.
- Establish standard processes, checklists, and reporting systems.
- Conduct regular performance and project review meetings.
- Provide technical and strategic inputs to senior management.

Required Technical Knowledge

Strong practical knowledge of multiple MEP disciplines, including:

- Electrical – HT/LT, Transformers, DG, PCC/MCC, APFC, Power Distribution, Lighting, Earthing
- Fire Fighting / Fire Hydrant Systems
- Fire Alarm & Detection Systems
- HVAC & Ventilation Systems
- Industrial Plumbing & Utility Systems
- Solar PV Systems
- Pumps, piping, utility systems, and associated controls
- MEP drawings, BOQ, specifications, estimation, and project documentation
- Testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Vendor and contractor management
- Project planning and execution

Required Skills

- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Excellent technical understanding of MEP systems
- Strong knowledge of industrial project execution
- Ability to manage multiple projects / activities simultaneously
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills
- Strong communication and client coordination skills
- Positive knowledge of MS Project / Primavera will be an advantage
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, and project documentation
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical specifications

Qualification

- B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering.
- Diploma in Electrical with extensive relevant experience may also be considered.
- Additional certification in MEP / Project Management / Fire & Safety will be an advantage.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in industrial projects, EPC, manufacturing plants, infrastructure, or engineering services.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per year
