We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer to join our sheet metal manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate 2D and 3D sheet metal designs, fabrication drawings, flat pattern developments, nesting layouts, and production drawings in accordance with customer requirements, engineering specifications, and manufacturing standards.

Design & Drawing Preparation

- Prepare 2D and 3D drawings for sheet metal components, assemblies, and fabricated products.
- Develop detailed fabrication drawings, shop drawings, assembly drawings, and production drawings.
- Prepare sheet metal flat patterns, bending details, and cutting layouts.
- Interpret customer drawings, technical specifications, and engineering requirements.
- Prepare and modify drawings based on customer feedback and production requirements.

Sheet Metal Manufacturing Support

- Develop CNC punching, laser cutting, and bending drawings for production.
- Prepare nesting layouts to optimize material utilization and minimize scrap.
- Ensure drawings include accurate dimensions, tolerances, bend allowances, and material specifications.
- Coordinate with production teams to resolve drawing-related issues.
- Verify the manufacturability of designs based on available machinery and production capabilities.

Technical Documentation & Coordination





- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and material requirements for fabrication.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, design revisions, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with customers, production, quality, and purchase departments regarding design requirements.
- Review drawings before releasing them for manufacturing.
- Support the quality team in resolving dimensional and fabrication-related issues.

Required Skills & Technical Knowledge

- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D sheet metal design software.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, including CNC punching, laser cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.
- Understanding of sheet metal flat pattern development, bend allowance, bend deduction, and K-factor.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of material grades, sheet thicknesses, and fabrication tolerances.
- Familiarity with nesting software and CNC machine programming will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
