Position Summary

A leading international school in Mumbai is seeking an exceptional, analytical, and inspiring Secondary Mathematics Teacher for Grades 6 to 10. The candidate will deliver rigorous, concept-driven, and application-based mathematics instruction across the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE curricula. This role requires an educator who holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics, capable of developing abstract reasoning, mathematical modeling, and problem-solving skills in students preparing for high-level international pathways.

Key Responsibilities

- Curriculum & Pedagogical Delivery
- Plan and deliver differentiated Mathematics units for Grades 6 to 10 aligned with IB MYP criteria and Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics / Additional Mathematics frameworks.
- Integrate inquiry-based learning, conceptual inquiry, real-world application, and interdisciplinary connections into daily teaching.
- Train students in spatial, quantitative, and logical reasoning, guiding them through mathematical investigations, extended projects, and problem-solving strategies.
- Exam Preparation & Assessment
- Design formative and summative assessments aligned with IB criterion-referenced rubrics and Cambridge IGCSE examination standards.
- Prepare Grade 9 and 10 students for IGCSE examinations (Core, Extended, and Additional Mathematics) with a focus on past-paper analysis and exam technique.
- Monitor, record, and evaluate student progress using data-driven tracking tools to provide targeted academic support.
- Technology & Innovation in Mathematics




- Incorporate advanced educational technology, graphic display calculators (GDC), dynamic geometry software (e.g., GeoGebra, Desmos), and digital learning platforms into the classroom.
- Support gifted learners for regional/international Math Olympiads and competitions while scaffolding concepts for students needing foundational assistance.
- Collaboration & Community Engagement
- Collaborate actively with the Mathematics Department, MYP Coordinator, and IGCSE Coordinator to refine curriculum mapping and vertical alignment.
- Maintain regular, transparent communication with parents regarding student achievement, growth areas, and learning strategies.
- Participate in IB and Cambridge career development workshops to stay current with global curricular updates.

Qualifications & Criteria

- Education (Mandatory Requirements):
- Master’s Degree in Mathematics (M.Sc. / M.A. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics) from a recognized university is compulsory.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is mandatory.
- IB MYP / Cambridge IGCSE official workshop certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience teaching Mathematics to middle and high school students (Grades 6–10).
- Core Competencies:
- Exceptional mastery of core secondary mathematical domains: Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry, Probability, and Statistics.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Strong classroom management, critical thinking, and student-mentoring capabilities.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
