Job Summary

ACKD Consult is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering consultancy team in Hyderabad.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering, preferably within an engineering consultancy environment, with strong expertise in building electrical systems, BIM, and Autodesk Revit.

Candidates with experience working on Saudi Arabia / Middle East projects and knowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC) or applicable American Building Codes and Standards will be highly relevant for this position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical design, engineering, BIM modelling, multidisciplinary coordination, technical documentation, and design review for building projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop electrical systems for commercial, residential, industrial, hospitality, healthcare, and other building projects.
- Prepare electrical design drawings, layouts, schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Develop and maintain accurate BIM models using Autodesk Revit MEP.
- Prepare and review:
- Lighting layouts
- Small power layouts
- Power distribution systems
- Single-line diagrams (SLDs)
- Load schedules
- Cable schedules
- Electrical equipment layouts
- Emergency power systems
- Earthing and lightning protection systems
- Other building electrical services
- Perform electrical load calculations and equipment sizing.
- Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other disciplines.
- Participate in BIM coordination and clash detection/resolution.
- Review and resolve design conflicts and technical issues.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable project requirements, specifications, and building codes.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, BIM teams, contractors, and clients.
- Provide technical support during design development and project execution.
- Conduct design reviews and quality checks of electrical engineering deliverables.
- Ensure drawings and models are produced accurately and in accordance with project standards.
- Assist in developing project specifications and electrical design documentation.
- Participate in technical meetings and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
- Support senior management and project teams in delivering projects within agreed schedules and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5-10+ years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering.
- Experience working in an engineering consultancy is strongly preferred.




- Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit / Revit MEP.
- Good understanding of BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and/or applicable American Building Codes/Standards.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems used in building projects.
- Experience preparing and reviewing electrical design drawings and technical documentation.
- Good knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design practices, and applicable standards.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with the following experience will be preferred:

- Saudi Arabia / GCC project experience.
- International building projects.
- Engineering consultancy experience.
- Building services design.
- BIM-based electrical design.
- Revit MEP modelling and documentation.
- Navisworks and BIM coordination.
- Clash detection and resolution.
- Experience coordinating electrical designs with Architecture, Structural, and MEP disciplines.
- Experience with Saudi Building Code and/or international standards.
