Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and responsible Hospital Pharmacist to manage medication dispensing and support safe and effective patient care. The pharmacist will work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the appropriate use, storage, and supply of medicines.

Key Responsibilities

- Dispense prescription medicines accurately according to doctors' orders.
- Review prescriptions for appropriate dosage, drug interactions, allergies, and potential medication-related problems.
- Provide information to patients regarding medication dosage, administration, precautions, and possible side effects.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy and medication records.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory control of medicines and medical supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely procurement of medicines.
- Check expiry dates and remove expired or damaged medicines according to hospital procedures.
- Maintain records for controlled and restricted medicines as required by applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with doctors and nurses regarding medication-related concerns.
- Participate in medication reconciliation and support safe prescribing and administration practices.
- Provide appropriate guidance to patients and caregivers on medication adherence.
- Maintain cleanliness,



organization, and safety standards within the pharmacy.
- Follow hospital policies, infection-control procedures, and applicable pharmacy regulations.
- Support audits, inspections, and quality-improvement activities when required.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), or relevant qualification as required by applicable regulations.
- Valid pharmacist registration with the appropriate regulatory authority.
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of prescription handling, medication safety, inventory management, and pharmacy procedures.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy or hospital management systems.
