Job Summary

The Email Security Engineer (L3) is responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing enterprise email security platforms. The role acts as the highest level of technical escalation for email security incidents, phishing investigations, malware containment, secure email gateway administration, and compliance enforcement. The engineer ensures protection against phishing, malware, business email compromise (BEC), spam, and advanced email-borne threats.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Serve as the L3 escalation point for complex email security incidents and threat investigations. Administer and support Secure Email Gateway (SEG) and Email Threat Protection platforms. Analyze phishing, malware, spoofing, and Business Email Compromise (BEC) incidents. Configure and maintain security policies for inbound and outbound email security. Implement and manage SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and email authentication controls. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and recommend preventive measures. Support email security audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments. Monitor security alerts, threat intelligence feeds, and email security dashboards. Develop email security standards, SOPs, and operational runbooks. Collaborate with SOC, IAM, Network Security, Endpoint Security, and Messaging teams. Mentor L1/L2 engineers and provide guidance during major incidents.
