Job Summary

We are looking for a Paint Shop Supervisor with experience in painting plastic automotive components. The candidate will supervise daily paint shop activities, manage manpower, monitor production and ensure that painted components meet required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day paint shop operations and production activities.
- Allocate work to painters and helpers and monitor their performance.
- Plan manpower and ensure production targets are achieved.
- Monitor spray painting, surface preparation, paint mixing and curing processes.
- Ensure correct paint, thinner and other materials are used as per process requirements.
- Monitor paint quality, colour, finish and coating consistency.
- Identify and control common paint defects such as runs, sags, orange peel, dust, uneven coating and colour variation.
- Coordinate with Quality and Production teams regarding quality and process issues.
- Monitor rejection, rework and paint consumption.
- Ensure proper handling of painted and unpainted components.
- Maintain production, rejection and other paint shop records.
- Ensure machines,



spray guns and other equipment are properly maintained and used.
- Implement 5S, housekeeping and safety practices in the paint shop.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of paints, thinners and chemicals.
- Train and guide painters and helpers on process and quality requirements.
- Report production, quality, manpower and material issues to management.

Requirements

- 2–5 years of experience in a paint shop, preferably plastic automotive components.
- Good knowledge of spray painting and plastic component painting processes.
- Experience in handling and supervising painters/operators.
- Knowledge of paint mixing, surface preparation and basic paint process parameters.
- Ability to identify and reduce paint defects and rework.
- Good understanding of production, quality and safety requirements.
- Valuable communication and team management skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production records will be an advantage.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, responsible, quality-conscious and capable of managing a small production team.

Experience with automotive plastic parts and processes such as primer, base coat and clear coat will be preferred.

Overtime will be provided as applicable.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
