The Domotics is a premium home automation and luxury interiors company offering high-end solutions for residences, hospitality and commercial spaces.

Our portfolio includes premium architectural lighting, home automation, furniture, home theatre and other luxury interior solutions.

We are looking for a Lighting Sales & Specification Executive with good knowledge of architectural and decorative lighting who can confidently explain lighting solutions to customers and build relationships with architects, interior designers, builders and project consultants.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer & Showroom Sales

- Meet customers at the showroom and understand their lighting requirements.
- Explain different lighting concepts, fixtures, applications and specifications.
- Recommend suitable lighting products based on the customer’s space, design and budget.
- Explain technical aspects such as:
- Colour temperature (CCT)
- CRI
- Beam angle
- Lumens
- Wattage
- Dimming
- IP ratings
- Trimmed / trimless fixtures
- Recessed, surface and pendant lighting
- Decorative and architectural lighting
- Conduct product demonstrations and lighting presentations.
- Prepare product selections and quotations in coordination with the sales team.
- Follow up with customers and convert enquiries into orders.

Field Marketing & Business Development

- Visit architects, interior designers, builders, contractors and project consultants regularly.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with design professionals.
- Introduce The Domotics’ lighting portfolio and new products.
- Identify upcoming residential, commercial, hospitality and luxury projects.




- Generate new lighting enquiries and project leads.
- Conduct regular project visits and understand project requirements.
- Coordinate with architects and designers during the product-selection/specification stage.
- Follow up on lighting specifications and ensure The Domotics products are considered for relevant projects.
- Maintain a database of architects, designers, contractors and active projects.
- Attend architect meets, networking events, exhibitions and product presentations.
- Represent The Domotics professionally in the market.

Project & Technical Coordination

- Understand lighting layouts and basic architectural drawings.
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers and electrical consultants regarding lighting requirements.
- Assist in selecting appropriate fixtures for different applications.
- Coordinate with the internal team for quotations, samples and product availability.
- Follow up on samples, approvals, orders and project requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams when required.
- Maintain project-wise follow-up records.

What We Are Looking For

- 1–4 years of experience in lighting sales / architectural lighting / lighting retail preferred.
- Good understanding of architectural and decorative lighting.




- Solid communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to confidently explain technical lighting concepts to customers.
- Comfortable meeting architects, interior designers and high-end homeowners.
- Willingness to travel within Coimbatore for field visits and business development.
- Good networking and relationship-building skills.
- Target-oriented and proactive approach.
- Good English and Tamil communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office / Google Workspace.
- Ability to maintain systematic follow-ups and customer records.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who can understand lighting like a consultant but approach the market like a salesperson.

The ideal candidate should be:

You should be comfortable spending part of the week in the showroom and part of the week meeting architects, interior designers, builders and project clients.

Compensation

- ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month + attractive performance-based sales incentives
- High-performing candidates will have opportunities for increased responsibilities and compensation as the business grows.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
