About the Role
Otomatiks Robotics Academy is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, planning, and operations across the organization. As a growing education/EdTech and robotics training business, this role will be central to building strong financial systems, supporting expansion (new centers/franchises), and ensuring long-term financial health.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning
- Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and multi-year growth plans aligned with academic and business expansion goals
- Provide financial modeling and analysis to support decisions on new center launches, franchise expansion, or new program lines
- Advise leadership on pricing strategy for courses, workshops, and franchise fees
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Oversee day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting across head office and branch/franchise locations
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage payroll, vendor payments, and fee collection systems
- Implement and maintain financial software/ERP systems suited to a multi-location academy
Compliance & Statutory
- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, PF/ESI, and other applicable Indian statutory requirements
- Coordinate with auditors, chartered accountants, and tax consultants
- Ensure proper documentation for any government/education-sector compliance (registrations, approvals, etc.)
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Monitor cash flow across operations, including fee collections and vendor/operational payments
- Manage banking relationships and any loans or credit facilities
- Oversee working capital planning, especially around seasonal admission cycles
Franchise & Multi-location Finance (if applicable)
- Set up financial controls and reporting standards for franchise partners/branch centers
- Track revenue sharing, royalty collections, and franchise financial performance
Risk & Internal Controls
- Establish internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure accurate financial record-keeping
- Identify and mitigate financial risks across operations
Leadership & Collaboration
- Build and manage the finance/accounts team
- Work closely with founders/leadership on strategic decisions
- Liaise with academic and operations teams to align financial planning with program delivery
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (B.Com, BBA-Finance, etc.)
- CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred
- 8–12+ years of experience in finance/accounts roles, with at least 3–5 years in a senior/leadership capacity
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, and taxation
- Experience with accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, or similar ERP)
Preferred
- Experience in education, EdTech, training institutes, or franchise-based businesses
- Experience managing multi-location or multi-branch finance operations
- Familiarity with startup/SME finance environments

- Hands-on approach (suited to a growing organization, not just a large-corporate CFO profile)

- Good communication skills to work with founders, franchise partners, and staff
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a scaling business
Pay: From ₹27,000.00 per month
