AM:PM is a creator-first news app. Short vertical video, fact-checked, for Gen Z and millennials. Every story carries a Take and a Flip: the view everyone is repeating, and the credible counter view nobody is showing you. Live on the Play Store and App Store, worldwide, audience India-first. Pre-seed, raising seed, about fifteen people in the office.

Founding team seat

- Backbone role. The API the app runs on, and everything between a video being ingested and a video being watched.
- Early enough that what you build becomes how the product works.

What you own

- Feed API: pagination, payload shape, caching
- Video delivery: ingest, transcode handoff, time to first frame
- Flutter feed, both platforms: virtualisation, preloading, controller disposal, smooth scroll on bad networks
- The rest of the Django backend, plus admin tooling the content team uses daily
- Production. Something breaks on a live app, you find out why.

Vertical video is the product, so playback and load time are not polish. They are the thing.You
