Position - Production Officer
Department - Production
Designation - Production Officer
Reporting To - Production Manager / Production Head
Location - Alandi.

1. Job Purpose

To supervise and execute day-to-day manufacturing activities safely and efficiently, ensuring production is carried out as per approved BMR/BPR, SOPs, GMP requirements, quality standards, and the approved production plan.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Execute manufacturing activities as per approved Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR), Batch Packing Record (BPR), SOPs, and production instructions.
- Monitor and control process parameters at each manufacturing stage and report deviations immediately.
- Ensure correct identification, dispensing, charging, and usage of raw materials, intermediates, and packing materials.
- Maintain proper line clearance, equipment status, area cleanliness, and GMP compliance.
- Coordinate with QA, QC, Warehouse, Engineering, and other departments for smooth batch execution.
- Record all manufacturing activities and observations accurately and contemporaneously in relevant documents.
- Ensure equipment is operated safely and as per approved SOPs; report breakdowns and abnormalities promptly.
- Monitor yield, process losses, cycle time, and material consumption and highlight significant variations.
- Support cleaning, changeover, and product-to-product campaign activities as per approved procedures.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and transfer of chemicals and materials and follow EHS requirements.
- Assist in investigation of process deviations, incidents, OOS/OOT-related manufacturing observations, and CAPA implementation, as applicable.
- Participate in validation, qualification, process improvement, and technology-transfer activities when assigned.
- Train and guide operators on relevant SOPs, GMP practices, and safe work procedures.




- Maintain valuable housekeeping and ensure production areas remain audit-ready.
- Perform other production-related activities assigned by the reporting manager.

3. GMP & Documentation

- Follow current approved SOPs, BMR/BPR, specifications, and GMP requirements.
- Ensure entries are complete, accurate, legible, traceable, and made in real time.
- Ensure no unauthorized changes are made to approved manufacturing instructions.
- Immediately escalate deviations, discrepancies, spills, equipment abnormalities, and safety incidents.

4. Safety Responsibilities

- Follow plant safety procedures, PPE requirements, and chemical-handling precautions.
- Identify and
- communicate unsafe conditions and potential hazards.

5. Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma / B.Sc. / B.Pharm / M.Sc. / B.E. or equivalent qualification relevant to pharmaceutical/API manufacturing.
- Relevant experience in pharmaceutical, API, or chemical manufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of GMP, production documentation, manufacturing equipment, and basic process controls.
- Ability to work in shifts, where required.

- Follow emergency, waste-handling, and environmental procedures applicable to the area.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
