Saraswati Autotech Multi Brand Car Workshop is looking for an experienced Detailing In-Charge / Supervisor to manage and supervise vehicle detailing operations across our Service & Maintenance, Bodyshop, and Vehicle Resale Preparation departments.

The person will be responsible for planning daily detailing work, managing the detailing team, maintaining quality standards, controlling materials and equipment, and ensuring that every vehicle is delivered in a clean, professionally presented, and customer-ready condition.

This is a multi-department supervisory role, not limited to washing or cleaning activities.

Key Responsibilities1. Daily Detailing Operations

- Plan and allocate daily detailing jobs based on vehicle priority, promised delivery time, and manpower availability.
- Supervise detailing of vehicles under Service & Maintenance, Bodyshop, and Resale Preparation.
- Ensure work is completed as per the job card and required quality standards.
- Coordinate with Service Advisors, Bodyshop Supervisors, and the Resale Team.

2. Vehicle Detailing & Technical Work

Supervise and ensure proper execution of:

- Exterior washing and cleaning
- Interior cleaning and vacuuming
- Upholstery and carpet cleaning
- Dashboard and interior surface cleaning
- Glass cleaning
- Polishing and paint care
- Paint correction/detailing, where applicable
- Post-bodyshop cleaning
- Removal of dust, paint overspray, and workshop residue
- Final vehicle preparation for customer delivery, photography, inspection, and resale display

3. Quality Control

- Conduct pre-detailing inspection and identify existing vehicle damage.
- Ensure correct detailing procedures are followed for different vehicle surfaces and conditions.
- Conduct final quality inspection before vehicle delivery or resale display.
- Minimize rework, customer complaints, and avoidable vehicle damage.
- Ensure customer belongings and vehicle accessories are properly protected.

4. Team Management

- Supervise detailers, helpers, and washing staff.
- Allocate work according to employee skill and workload.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and workmanship.
- Train team members in proper detailing techniques, equipment usage, and safety procedures.

5. Equipment & Material Management





- Ensure detailing equipment is properly maintained and available for daily operations.
- Monitor stock of chemicals, microfiber cloths, cleaning materials, and other consumables.
- Control unnecessary wastage and misuse of materials.
- Report equipment breakdowns and material requirements to management.

6. Service & Bodyshop Coordination

- Coordinate vehicle movement between Service, Bodyshop, Detailing, and Delivery areas.
- Ensure detailing work is completed according to the promised delivery schedule.
- Coordinate post-service and post-bodyshop cleaning before final delivery.
- Inform the concerned department about pending work or quality issues.

7. Resale Vehicle Preparation

- Supervise complete interior and exterior detailing of vehicles received for resale preparation.
- Improve vehicle appearance and presentation for customer inspection and display.
- Identify visible defects, damages, or areas requiring repair and report them to the concerned manager.
- Ensure vehicles are properly prepared for photographs, online listings, customer inspection, and delivery.

8. Safety & Housekeeping

- Ensure safe handling of chemicals, electrical equipment, pressure washers, polishing machines, and workshop tools.
- Ensure appropriate PPE and secure working practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the detailing area.
- Prevent avoidable damage to vehicles, accessories, equipment, and workshop property.

9. Reporting & Improvement

- Maintain daily job status and productivity records.
- Track pending jobs, rework, complaints, and material consumption.
- Report operational issues to the Workshop Manager / Owner.
- Identify opportunities to improve detailing quality, productivity, turnaround time, and material efficiency.
- Help implement SOPs and standardized detailing processes.

Required Skills





- Practical knowledge of automobile detailing and vehicle cleaning processes.
- Knowledge of interior and exterior car detailing.
- Knowledge of polishing, paint care, and basic paint correction.
- Ability to operate and supervise use of pressure washers, vacuum cleaners, polishing machines, and detailing equipment.
- Team handling and daily work allocation skills.
- Basic vehicle inspection and quality-control knowledge.
- Knowledge of detailing chemicals and safe handling procedures.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under delivery deadlines.
- Customer-focused attitude and qualified behavior.
- Ability to identify problems and take corrective action.

Qualification & Experience

Minimum Qualification:
ITI in Automobile, Motor Vehicle, or a related trade.

Experience:
2–5 years of experience in automobile detailing, car workshop operations, bodyshop, car preparation, or a similar role preferred. Four wheeler driving skills must with valid D.L.

Candidates with strong practical detailing experience and team-handling capability may also be considered.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a hands-on supervisor who can manage people as well as the actual detailing work.

The ideal candidate should be able to plan the work, guide the team, personally check quality, control materials, and ensure vehicles are ready on time.

Candidates who have worked in a multi-brand car workshop, bodyshop, detailing centre, dealership, or pre-owned car preparation operation are encouraged to apply.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
