Job Description – Security Officer

A. Manpower & Attendance Control

- Maintain daily records of security guards, employees, contract manpower, visitors, and other persons entering and exiting the factory.
- Monitor unauthorized or suspicious movement within the factory premises.
- Ensure proper handover and takeover between security shifts.

B. Material Entry & Exit Control

- Maintain accurate records of all material entering and leaving the factory premises.
- Verify material gate passes, delivery challans, invoices, returnable/non-returnable documents, and required approvals before allowing material movement.

C. Visitor & Vehicle Management

- Maintain visitor and vehicle entry/exit records.
- Verify visitor identity and ensure appropriate approval before granting access.
- Ensure proper parking and vehicle movement within the factory premises.

D. Security & Vigilance

- Maintain strict vigilance over the entire factory premises and keep a constant eye on unusual, suspicious, or unauthorized activities.
- Conduct regular security rounds of designated areas, including gates, parking areas, warehouses, production areas, utility areas, and other critical locations.
- Ensure security protocols are followed by employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers.

E. Gate & Access Control





- Ensure all entry and exit gates are properly controlled.
- Ensure employees and other personnel follow prescribed entry/exit procedures.
- Prevent unauthorized persons from entering the factory premises.
- Ensure proper documentation before permitting any person, vehicle, or material to enter or leave.
- Maintain strict control during shift changes, lunch/break timings, and high-traffic periods.

F. Incident Management

- Immediately inform HR/Admin/Plant Management about any security incident or emergency.

G. Government Officials / Regulatory Visits

- Remain vigilant and maintain proper control whenever any government official, inspector, regulatory authority, police official, or other external authority arrives at the factory premises.
- Verify the identity and official purpose of the visitor and obtain the required details at the security gate.
- Immediately inform HR/Admin, Plant Head, or the concerned authorized person upon arrival of any government official or regulatory authority.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company information and ensure that security personnel do not disclose internal information without authorization.
- Maintain complete records of all such visits for future reference and audit purposes.
