We are looking for a skilled and responsible CNC Setter cum Operator to join our production team and handle CNC turning machines for precision component manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

- Set and operate CNC Turning Centres for precision machining of components.
- Perform machine setting, tool setting, offset correction, and job changeover.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and machining requirements.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, holders, and inserts.
- Set tool offsets and make necessary dimensional corrections during production.
- Load and unload components and ensure proper clamping and workholding.
- Check first-piece dimensions and coordinate with the Quality Department for approval.
- Perform in-process inspection and monitor component dimensions during production.
- Identify machining abnormalities such as tool wear, dimensional variation, burrs,



and surface finish issues.
- Make minor program/offset corrections as required.
- Maintain proper tool condition and replace worn inserts/tools.
- Follow production plans, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
- Maintain machine cleanliness, housekeeping, and 5S standards.
- Ensure safe working practices and proper handling of tools, components, and measuring instruments.
- Record production quantities, rejection/rework, and other required production data.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve machine or quality issues.

- CNC Turning Machine Setting & Operation
- Tool Setting and Offset Correction

- Basic Knowledge of CNC Programs / G-Code
- Knowledge of Cutting Tools and Inserts
- Knowledge of Vernier Caliper and Micrometer
- Basic Understanding of Tolerances
- In-Process Inspection

- Good Attention to Detail
- Knowledge of 5S and Shop-Floor Safety

Qualification

- ITI – Machinist / Turner
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Or any relevant technical qualification.

Experience

- 1–5 years of experience in CNC Turning / CNC Machine Shop is preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in CNC setting and operation will be preferred.




- Freshers with relevant ITI/Diploma qualification and basic CNC knowledge may also be considered for suitable positions.

Shift Details
