Job Description – L2 Network Engineer Key Responsibilities

- Should be able to design and implement network infrastructure as per business and technical requirements.
- Should be able to deploy and configure networks as per the approved design and implementation plan.
- Should be good at installing, configuring, and troubleshooting HP, Cisco, and Dell switches.
- Should be able to configure VLANs, trunking, and Inter-VLAN routing.
- Should be able to configure and manage network monitoring and management tools.
- Should be able to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot all major components of the network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve LAN, WAN, Internet, wireless, routing, switching, and network connectivity issues.
- Manage and troubleshoot network firewalls, including configuration, rule/policy management, access control, VPN connectivity, security monitoring, and troubleshooting of firewall-related issues.
- Monitor firewall health, connectivity, security policies, and alerts and coordinate with relevant teams/vendors for resolution when required.
- Ensure that Internet security software and network security components are regularly updated and maintained.
- Monitor network performance and ensure the required data throughput, availability, and network uptime by proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Respond to network connectivity and wireless communication issues and provide timely resolution.
- Perform network installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting at client locations and field sites.
- Undertake client visits and field work for network deployment, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance,



configuration changes, and resolution of technical issues.
- Coordinate directly with client representatives during site visits to understand issues, provide technical support, and ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare and maintain proper site visit reports, network documentation, configuration details, and troubleshooting records.
- Collaborate with third-party support and service vendors to ensure that network infrastructure remains operational.
- Work closely with Internet Service Providers, telecom providers, and other vendors for connectivity-related issues and service restoration.
- Maintain and regularly update the network maintenance and configuration documentation.
- Escalate complex issues to L3 teams, OEMs, or relevant vendors when required, with complete troubleshooting details.

Network & Security Skills

- Strong hands-on knowledge of Routing & Switching.
- Good understanding of VLANs, Inter-VLAN routing, trunking, STP, and basic routing protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco / HP / Dell networking equipment.
- Good understanding of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Hands-on experience in Firewall Management and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of firewall policies/rules, NAT, VPN, access control, and security monitoring.




- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Valuable troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Field & Client Support

- Willingness to undertake regular client visits and field work as required.
- Comfortable working at client offices, project sites, and remote locations.
- Should be able to independently handle network installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities at client sites.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with clients, internal teams, vendors, and service providers.
- Willingness to travel as required for project deployments and support activities.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
- CCNA certification required.
- CompTIA Networking or other relevant networking/security certifications preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in managing computer networks and network infrastructure.
- 2+ years of experience in network architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with firewall administration and network security will be preferred.
- Experience in client-facing and field support roles.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
