Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Head Barista to lead and manage our barista section. The ideal candidate should have complete knowledge of coffee, beverages, bar operations, equipment handling, inventory management, and team supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the complete barista/coffee section and ensure smooth daily operations.

Prepare and serve high-quality espresso, cappuccino, latte, americano, mocha, cold coffee, cold brew, and other beverages.

Have strong knowledge of coffee beans, grinding, dosing, extraction, milk steaming, latte art, and brewing methods.

Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other bar equipment.

Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, portion size, and beverage quality.

Train, guide, and supervise junior baristas and beverage staff.

Manage daily bar opening and closing procedures.

Monitor stock of coffee, milk, syrups, powders, fruits, and other beverage ingredients.

Maintain proper FIFO, inventory control, wastage control, and hygiene standards.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the entire bar area and equipment.

Handle customer requests and resolve beverage-related complaints professionally.

Create and suggest new coffee and beverage recipes when required.

Follow standard recipes,



SOPs, food safety, and café service standards.

Coordinate with the kitchen and management team for smooth operations.

Required Skills

- Complete knowledge of the Barista Section.
- Positive understanding of coffee and beverage preparation.
- Strong knowledge of espresso extraction and grinder calibration.
- Good latte art and milk-steaming skills.
- Knowledge of hot, cold, mocktail, smoothie, and specialty beverages.
- Knowledge of bar equipment cleaning and basic troubleshooting.
- Good leadership and team-management skills.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy hours.
- Responsible, punctual, energetic, and professional.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of barista experience; Head Barista/Senior Barista experience preferred.

Barista certification is an advantage but not mandatory.

Candidates with robust practical knowledge of café beverage operations are preferred.
