Job Description

The Electrical BIM Modeler (Revit) is responsible for creating, developing, and coordinating detailed BIM models for Electrical systems using Autodesk Revit. The role involves preparing Approval/GFC layouts, extracting quantities from BIM models, resolving clashes, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring project deliverables comply with client requirements and BIM standards.

Key Responsibilities

Generate and coordinate the following Electrical general arrangement layouts:

- Power distribution layouts
- Lighting layouts
- Emergency lighting layouts
- Small power layouts
- Cable tray and trunking layouts
- Conduit layouts
- Earthing and grounding layouts




- Lightning protection system layouts
- Scope of work

- Preparing general arrangement layout for Electrical drawings along with plans, sections, 3D views.
- Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD) and electrical coordination drawings as required.
- Perform clash detection and coordinate with Architectural, Structural, and other MEP disciplines.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve coordination issues.
- Extract quantities from Navis and generate material take-offs (BOQ) from BIM models.
- Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, LOD requirements, local authority regulations, and client specifications.
- Support BIM Coordinators, Electrical Engineers, and Project Teams during project execution.
- Update BIM models based on engineer’s input.
