Key ResponsibilitiesA. Overall Factory Operations
- Take overall responsibility for day-to-day factory operations.
- Ensure smooth and uninterrupted functioning of manufacturing activities.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor production activities as per customer and business requirements.
- Ensure optimum utilisation of manpower, machinery, materials and other resources.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Establish and monitor operational targets for different departments.
B. Production Management
- Prepare and monitor production plans in coordination with Sales, Planning, Purchase and Stores.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned timelines.
- Monitor productivity, rejection, rework, wastage and downtime.
- Ensure proper implementation of production processes and work instructions.
- Improve production efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Ensure proper manpower deployment as per production requirements.
C. Quality Management
- Ensure that production activities comply with the company's quality standards and procedures.
- Work closely with the Quality Department to minimise rejection, rework and customer complaints.
- Ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor quality-related KPIs and take timely corrective measures.
- Support and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Promote a quality-focused culture across the factory.
D. Maintenance & Machinery
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure critical machinery and equipment remain available for production.
- Monitor machine breakdowns, downtime and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure timely availability of required spare parts.
- Review maintenance reports and identify recurring machine problems.
- Drive preventive measures to reduce equipment downtime.
E. Stores, Purchase & Material Management
- Coordinate with Purchase and Stores to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components and consumables.
- Monitor material shortages that may affect production.
- Ensure proper control of inventory, material movement and storage.
- Work towards reducing material wastage and unnecessary inventory.
- Coordinate with relevant departments for urgent material requirements.
F. Manpower & Team Management
- Plan manpower requirements in coordination with HR and respective department heads.
- Ensure optimum utilisation and deployment of manpower.
- Guide, supervise and evaluate department heads and operational teams.
- Develop accountability and performance-oriented working culture.
- Identify training and skill-development requirements.
- Address operational discipline and manpower-related issues in coordination with HR.
G. Cost Control
- Monitor factory operating expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Control overtime, wastage, rework, rejection, utility consumption and other operational costs.
- Drive productivity improvement and process optimisation.
- Ensure company resources are utilised efficiently.
H.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with factory safety procedures and applicable statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with HR/Admin/Safety personnel to maintain a safe working workplace.
- Ensure employees follow appropriate safety practices and PPE requirements.
- Investigate major safety incidents and ensure corrective actions.
- Promote safety awareness among employees.
I. Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, HR and Finance for smooth operations.
- Review production requirements against available capacity and resources.
- Escalate critical operational issues to management with appropriate solutions.
- Ensure timely communication between departments.
- Participate in management review meetings and provide operational updates.
J. MIS & Management Reporting
- Review daily/weekly/monthly factory performance reports.
- Monitor key operational KPIs such as:
- Production output
- Productivity
- Machine downtime
- Rejection & rework
- On-time production/delivery
- Material wastage
- Labour utilisation
- Overtime
- Maintenance performance
- Present operational performance and improvement plans to senior management.
K. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and productivity enhancement.
- Implement Lean/5S/Kaizen or other suitable improvement initiatives.
- Reduce unnecessary movement, wastage, downtime and process delays.
- Encourage employees to suggest process improvements.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
