About Muktangan Education Trust

The Learning Resources department is the key group responsible for coordinating inclusive practices at Muktangan. The Learning Resource Group (LRG) liaises with the teachers, faculty of other departments and schools to enable inclusion of all students both academically and socially. The LRG provides support to students with learning disabilities as well as other students who have difficulties in keeping up with the needs of the curriculum. The LRG teachers also support the class/subject teacher by assisting in the class during lessons to enable better participation of students with difficulties, in the lesson. Purpose of the Role

The Lead Faculty – Inclusive Education will lead Muktangan's work on inclusive education, with a focus on strengthening teachers' and schools' capacity to respond effectively to diverse learning needs.

The role will contribute to the design and delivery of teacher development programmes, development of inclusive education resources, classroom support, and strengthening of practices that enable children with disabilities and other diverse learning needs to participate meaningfully in mainstream education.

The Lead Faculty will work closely with teachers, school leaders, academic teams, government stakeholders and other partners to translate principles of inclusion into practical classroom and school-level practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Faculty Development and Training

- Design and facilitate high-quality training programmes on inclusive education and special educational needs.
- Train teachers, teacher educators, school leaders and field teams on inclusive classroom practices.
- Develop practical tools, training materials, case studies and classroom resources.
- Provide mentoring and ongoing academic support to teachers beyond formal training sessions.

2. Inclusive Classroom Practices

- Support teachers in identifying and responding to diverse learning needs.
- Promote differentiated teaching, Universal Design for Learning (UDL),



accessible learning materials and inclusive classroom strategies.
- Support teachers to develop appropriate Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) or learning support plans where required.
- Guide teams in adapting teaching-learning materials and assessment practices for children with different needs.

3. Academic Leadership

- Lead the development and review of Muktangan's inclusive education framework, pedagogy and training content.
- Ensure that inclusion is integrated across teacher development and academic programmes.
- Stay updated on emerging research, policies and good practices in inclusive education and special education.
- Build the capacity of other faculty members and programme teams in inclusive education.

4. Field Support and Programme Implementation

- Conduct school and classroom visits to understand implementation challenges and provide academic support.
- Work with field teams to identify barriers to participation and learning.
- Support the design and implementation of interventions for children requiring additional learning support.
- Document promising practices, challenges and lessons from the field.

5. Assessment and Documentation

- Support teachers and teams in using appropriate methods to identify learning and participation needs.
- Contribute to assessment frameworks and tools related to inclusive education.
- Analyse implementation data and classroom observations to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports, case studies and programme documentation.

6. Stakeholder Engagement

- Work with government departments, schools, teacher education institutions, NGOs and other partners on inclusive education initiatives.
- Represent Muktangan in relevant workshops, consultations, conferences and professional forums.
- Contribute to proposals, programme designs and technical discussions related to inclusive education.

Required Qualifications

- Master's degree in Special Education, Inclusive Education, Education, Psychology or a closely related field.




- Professional qualification in Special Education/Inclusive Education will be an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in inclusive education, special education, teacher education or school-based interventions.
- Experience in designing and facilitating teacher training programmes.
- Robust understanding of disability inclusion, differentiated instruction, classroom accommodations and inclusive pedagogy.
- Experience working directly with schools and teachers is strongly preferred.

- Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and differentiated pedagogy.
- Developing inclusive education policies, frameworks or training curricula.
- Working with government stakeholders and education departments.
- Programme monitoring, documentation and evaluation.

Compensation

As per industry standards.

The final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, technical expertise and overall fit for the role.

Reporting

The Lead Faculty – Inclusive Education will report to the Head of Pedagogy / designated senior academic leader and work closely with Muktangan's programme and field teams.
