Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled WordPress Developer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of WordPress development, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL, along with experience working with themes, plugins, APIs, and third-party integrations.

The candidate will be responsible for building high-quality, responsive, secure, and performance-optimized WordPress websites while working closely with designers, project managers, and other development teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites based on business and project requirements.
- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
- Customize existing themes and plugins as required.
- Convert UI/UX designs into responsive and pixel-perfect WordPress websites.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services.
- Work with WordPress REST API and other integrations.
- Optimize websites for performance, speed, scalability, and SEO.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and technical problems.
- Implement website security best practices and perform regular updates.
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
- Manage WordPress migrations, backups, deployments, and version updates.
- Work with databases and perform basic MySQL queries and optimizations.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, QA teams,



and project managers to deliver projects on time.
- Follow coding standards, version control practices, and development best practices.

Required Skills

- 3+ years of professional experience in WordPress development.
- Strong proficiency in WordPress, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Strong understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, hooks, filters, and custom post types.
- Experience in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Good knowledge of responsive web development.
- Experience with page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or similar tools.
- Experience with WooCommerce and e-commerce website development.
- Knowledge of WordPress REST API and third-party API integrations.
- Understanding of website performance optimization and SEO best practices.
- Experience with Git/version control systems.
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of website security and WordPress best practices.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
