We are strengthening our platform team and need a Lead Software Engineer - Java with Spring Boot to deliver high-quality backend capabilities. You will own microservices design, build RESTful APIs, and support secure cloud deployments with Kubernetes, Docker, and Git/GitLab CI/CD—apply now.

Responsibilities

- Design and deliver enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Architect and implement cloud-deployed microservices-based solutions
- Build RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with frontend applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are scalable and maintainable
- Lead technical reviews and provide mentorship to engineering team members
- Make architectural decisions that uphold quality, security, reliability and compliance standards
- Apply Agile and DevOps best practices across the software development lifecycle
- Support and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery processes
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across the application stack
- Use containerization and orchestration tools to deploy and manage services

Requirements





- Strong professional experience (5+ years) in designing and developing with Java 21, Quarkus and Java/JEE
- In-depth expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Security and JUnit
- Working knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle, Sybase and PL/SQL
- Solid exposure to microservices architecture, Azure Cloud and Serverless
- Hands-on proficiency with Kubernetes (pods, containers, services and Istio)
- Experience working with Docker and Redis
- Proven ability to deliver RESTful APIs and integrate backend with frontend
- Familiarity with Git/GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field

Nice to have

- Understanding of UI technologies including HTML5, CSS3 and React (including Hooks)
- Familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience with DevOps and performance tuning
- Capability to implement UX designs into responsive, scalable and maintainable UI solutions following industry standards and patterns
