Key Responsibilities
1. Legal Drafting & Research: Draft replies to tax notices, submissions, appeals, writs, and legal opinions; conduct in-depth legal research on taxation and corporate law matters.
2. Litigation Support:
- Appear before Income Tax Authorities, Appellate Authorities, and Tribunals (e.g., CIT(A), ITAT).
- Coordinate and assist senior counsels for High Court and Supreme Court matters.
- Handle follow-ups, case preparations, and case tracking.
3. Compliance & Advisory:
- Provide legal support in direct and indirect tax matters.
- Assist in tax planning, advisory, and compliance assignments.
4. Client Interaction: Liaise with clients to gather case information, clarify facts, and update them on proceedings.
5. Interdisciplinary Coordination: Work closely with internal audit, accounts, and taxation teams to align legal positions and documentation.
Qualifications
- Praciting Chartered Accountant.
- 2–3 years of post-qualification experience in litigation and taxation matters.
- Sound knowledge of Direct and Indirect Tax laws, Companies Act, and allied laws.
- Proficiency in legal drafting, case law research, and interpretation of statutes.
- Basic understanding of accounting concepts, GST returns, and tax filings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
Preferred
- Experience in a CA or multi-disciplinary consulting firm.
- Exposure to income tax assessments, GST audits, and client-facing roles.
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Noida, Uttar Pradesh (Noida): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Direct Tax Litigation: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- ICAI Certificate of Practice (Preferred)
