About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and responsible HR Manager to independently manage and oversee the complete HR function for our India operations.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in HR operations, recruitment, payroll, statutory compliance, employee relations, performance management, HR policies, HR reporting, and team management.
The candidate will work closely with senior management to ensure smooth HR operations, employee engagement, workplace discipline, process efficiency, and compliance with applicable requirements.
Key Responsibilities1. HR Operations
- Manage day-to-day HR operations for the organization.
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle from joining to exit.
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and personnel files.
- Handle employee queries, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
- Ensure smooth implementation of HR processes and procedures.
- Identify HR process gaps and implement corrective actions.
2. Recruitment & Manpower Planning
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for various departments.
- Coordinate manpower requirements with department heads.
- Prepare and update Job Descriptions.
- Post vacancies across relevant recruitment platforms.
- Screen resumes and shortlist suitable candidates.
- Conduct and coordinate interviews.
- Manage candidate selection, offer, joining, and onboarding processes.
- Track recruitment requirements and hiring timelines.
- Maintain recruitment MIS and candidate records.
3. Payroll & Attendance Management
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing.
- Verify attendance, leaves, late marks, overtime, deductions, and other payroll inputs.
- Coordinate with Finance/Payroll teams for timely salary processing.
- Maintain accurate attendance and leave records.
- Resolve payroll and attendance-related employee queries.
- Ensure payroll inputs are accurate and submitted within timelines.
4. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable Indian labour and employment requirements.
- Coordinate applicable PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, TDS, LWF, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with CA, payroll consultants, and external agencies where required.
- Maintain statutory records and compliance documentation.
- Monitor compliance-related deadlines and documentation.
5. Performance Management
- Manage employee performance appraisal processes.
- Implement and monitor performance review systems and KPIs.
- Handle Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
- Work with department managers on performance and productivity issues.
- Track completion of performance reviews.
- Prepare performance-related reports for senior management.
6. HR Policies & Discipline
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and SOPs.
- Ensure employees understand and comply with company policies.
- Handle disciplinary actions and policy violations in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation of disciplinary matters.
- Identify HR policy and process gaps and recommend corrective measures.
7. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Handle employee grievances and workplace concerns.
- Maintain professional employee-management relationships.
- Support resolution of employee-related matters.
- Conduct employee engagement activities.
- Promote workplace discipline, accountability, and productivity.
- Maintain a positive and professional work environment.
8. HR MIS & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HR reports.
- Track and report:
- Headcount
- Attendance
- Attrition
- Recruitment
- Leaves
- Payroll
- Employee Performance
- Employee Engagement
- Prepare HR dashboards and MIS reports for senior management.
- Maintain accurate and updated HR data.
- Provide HR insights and reports to management for decision-making.
9. HR Software & Automation
- Manage HRMS, payroll, attendance, and leave management systems.
- Ensure proper utilization of HR software.
- Maintain accurate employee data in HR systems.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual HR processes.
- Improve HR reporting, data accuracy, and process efficiency.
10. HR Team Management
- Lead and manage the HR team.
- Delegate responsibilities and monitor task completion.
- Train and mentor HR team members.
- Ensure timely completion of HR activities.
- Establish accountability and performance standards within the HR department.
- Monitor the overall effectiveness of HR operations.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources will be preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant HR experience.
- Previous experience as an HR Manager, HR Operations Manager, or Senior HR Executive will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience in recruitment, payroll, attendance, employee relations, and performance management.
- Experience working with HRMS, payroll, or attendance management software.
- Strong understanding of HR operations and applicable statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience managing or mentoring HR team members will be an advantage.
