Role Description The Architect role at Studio SPD is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Visakhapatnam Area. The Architect will be responsible for developing architectural concepts, preparing detailed drawings and documentation, and coordinating design development from initial planning through construction. Day-to-day tasks include meeting with clients to understand requirements, collaborating with internal and external teams, and ensuring design solutions comply with relevant codes, standards, and project budgets. The role also involves overseeing technical integration with building systems, supporting project management activities such as scheduling and resource coordination, and conducting site visits to monitor construction progress and quality. The Architect is expected to actively participate in design reviews,



contribute to continuous improvement of studio processes, and maintain transparent, professional communication with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to translate client needs into coherent, buildable concepts.
- Experience with Project Management, including planning, coordination, and monitoring of deliverables across the project lifecycle.
- Knowledge of Integration and Software Development as they relate to architectural workflows, digital tools, or building information modeling (BIM).
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and familiarity with visualization tools.
- Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and standards relevant to projects in the Greater Visakhapatnam Area.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture or a closely related field; professional licensure or progress toward licensure is an advantage.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and spatial planning skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities, including clear documentation and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work on-site full time, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
