Role purpose:Design polymer bath fittings with the elegance of world-class Italian metal hardware — the aesthetic anchor feeding the NPD team a pipeline of manufacturable, premium concepts.1. Key ResponsibilitiesStudy premium Italian/European metal fittings and reinterpret their design cues (proportion, silhouette, finish) in polymer.Create concept sketches, CAD models and renders for new fitting ranges, balanced against moulding/tooling constraints.Work with NPD, R&D; and tooling teams from concept through prototype to production.Build and maintain a design language/style guide so the premium range stays visually consistent.Build prototypes/mock-ups to validate form and finish, and track global design and finishing trends.2. Academic BackgroundB.Des/M.Des in Product or Industrial Design (NID, IIT-IDC, Srishti, Pearl Academy, MIT-ID or equivalent), or a B.E./B.Tech with a strong design/CAD portfolio.CMF (colour, material, finish) coursework and prior exposure to sanitaryware, furniture or consumer-durable design are a plus.A robust designportfoliomatters more than the specific degree.3. Experience Required3–8 yearsdesigning bath fittings, sanitaryware, consumer durables, furniture or lighting, where finish and premium feel drive the sale.Hands-on experience taking a design fromconcept sketch to tooled,



manufactured product .Prior exposure toinjection-moulded plastics or polymer product designis strongly preferred.Experience referencing or benchmarkingpremium international designand adapting it for Indian manufacturing and price points.Exceptional portfolios with 1–3 years' experience may be considered for a junior/associate designer level.4. Skills & Technical ExpertiseCAD (SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360 or Creo) and rendering (Key Shot/Blender/V-Ray); sketching and Adobe Creative Suite for presentation.Strong CMF sense and grasp of injection-moulding constraints and finishing techniques (chrome-effect plating, soft-touch coatings) that make polymer feel like metal.Understanding of bath-fitting ergonomics (grip, flow, durability, IP ratings) and ability to build quick physical mock-ups.Confident presenting and defending design choices to cross-functional teams.5. Desired AttributesA genuine eye for elegance — can explain why a fitting feels premium, not just imitate it.Balances creative ambition with manufacturing/cost reality; a builder who prototypes rather than just talks.Self-driven, comfortable being the lead design voice in a manufacturing-first organisation building this capability.
