We are looking for a Junior AI Video Editor who understands that generating a good-looking clip is only the beginning. It is about choosing the right moments, building rhythm, maintaining continuity, and turning individual shots into something people want to watch.

You should be comfortable both experimenting with AI tools and working on an editing timeline. Editing skills and hands-on AI experience are both essential. You do not need to know every tool, but you should be able to show us what you have made with the ones you know.

You will work closely with senior editors, creative strategists, copywriters, designers, and account teams to turn scripts and ideas into sharp, platform-ready content. You will receive guidance as you learn, with the expectation that you ask useful questions, try solutions, and take ownership of the work assigned to you.

Role: Junior AI Video Editor

Location: Andheri East, Mumbai

Role & Responsibilities

1. The Story Builder

You will take scripts, references, creative direction, and available footage and help turn them into clear, engaging video stories.

Your role is not limited to generating a few clips and placing them in sequence. You will identify which shots the story needs, select the strongest moments, and build an edit that makes sense from the first frame to the last.

You should be able to judge when a shot adds something to the story and when it is only there because it took several attempts to generate.

2. AI Generation With Direction

You will create AI-generated images and video sequences based on the requirements of the brief. This may include text-to-video, image-to-video, reference-based generation, and lip-sync where the project requires it.

You will work with prompts, visual references, and feedback to improve composition, movement, lighting, and overall style. When a result is close but not quite right, you should be able to identify the issue and make a considered next attempt.

You will learn to keep characters, products, environments, and visual treatments consistent across shots. When a tool is not giving you a usable result, you should raise it early and discuss another way to execute the scene.

3. Editing & Post-Production

You will edit AI-generated footage alongside live-action footage, stock, graphics, music, sound effects, and voiceovers.

This includes selecting shots, building the first cut, refining pacing, adding captions, balancing audio, making basic colour adjustments, and preparing final exports. You should understand how a cut, a pause, or a change in music can affect the way a scene feels.

You will be expected to take generated material through the edit yourself, with support from senior editors. A collection of impressive clips still needs a clear beginning, a sense of progression, and a reason for the viewer to keep watching.





4. Platform-First Thinking

You will help create reels, digital advertisements, brand videos, campaign assets, and other social content across vertical, horizontal, and square formats.

You should understand that a six-second ad and a 30-second reel need different editorial choices. You will adapt hooks, pacing, captions, framing, and end screens based on the brief and where the content will be consumed.

A format adaptation should still feel intentional. Faces, products, captions, and important actions should not disappear because the video has been cropped to a different ratio.

5. Quality, Feedback & Ownership

You will check your work before sharing it, incorporate feedback carefully, and keep your timelines, files, and versions organised.

You should notice inconsistent faces, distorted objects, unnatural movements, broken lip-sync, abrupt cuts, and continuity errors. You are not expected to have every answer on day one, but you are expected to flag problems and work with the team to resolve them.

You will communicate progress and delays early, keep track of revisions, and test new tools and techniques as part of your learning. Each project should help you make better decisions on the next one.

The Mindset You Bring

Story Before Software: You understand that knowing a tool does not automatically make someone a solid editor. Your decisions are guided by the idea, the audience, and how the complete video feels.

Editing & AI, Both Matter: You enjoy generating visuals and shaping them on the timeline. You are willing to spend as much care on the cut, sound, and finishing as you do on getting the shot.

A Sharp Visual Eye: You notice awkward framing, inconsistent details, weak pacing, and movement that does not feel natural. You take the effort to improve them before calling the work finished.

Curious & Proactive: You try things, bring references, and ask questions when you are stuck. You do not need to solve everything alone, but you should make an effort to understand the problem.

Open to Feedback: You can receive feedback without becoming defensive, understand why a revision is needed, and apply what you learn to future edits.

Organised & Reliable: Your footage, generations, project files, and exports are easy to find. Your team should not have to guess which version includes the latest feedback.

Willing to Keep Learning: You follow editing styles, advertising, films, and visual culture alongside AI developments. You are interested in improving your judgement as well as expanding your tool stack.

The Core Skills Required

- 0–2 years of experience in video editing, AI content creation, motion design, filmmaking, or a related field.



Freshers with strong personal projects or experimental work are welcome.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, with the ability to assemble an edit, work with audio, add captions, and export in the required format.
- Hands-on experience with at least one AI video tool such as Runway, Kling, Pika, Luma, Hailuo, or a similar platform. You should be able to show completed experiments or projects.
- Familiarity with an AI image-generation tool such as Midjourney, FLUX, Stable Diffusion, ChatGPT image generation, or a similar platform for developing visual references and source frames.
- Basic understanding of prompting, reference-based generation, and image-to-video workflows, with the patience to refine outputs across multiple attempts.
- Good foundational understanding of storytelling, pacing, shot selection, music, framing, and visual continuity.
- Ability to identify common AI errors and attempt practical corrections through generation or editing, asking for guidance when needed.
- Ability to follow a brief, take feedback, manage assigned timelines, and work across vertical, horizontal, and square formats.
- A portfolio, showreel, personal project, or experimental AI work demonstrating both generation and editing. Clearly explain your contribution and the tools used.
- Familiarity with Adobe After Effects for basic motion graphics and Photoshop for preparing or cleaning up images will be an advantage. Experience with lip-sync or other AI video workflows will be an added advantage.

This role is not the best fit if:

You only want to write prompts: You enjoy generating clips but are not interested in editing, sound, pacing, or taking the video through to final delivery.

You only want to edit existing footage: You have no interest in learning how to generate, refine, and work with AI visuals. Both parts are central to this role.

You treat the first generation as final: You overlook obvious mistakes or accept a weak shot because the tool produced it that way.

You prioritise effects over the idea: You add transitions, camera movements, and visual treatments without considering whether they help the story or distract from it.

You wait for every next step: You are unwilling to explore options or attempt a solution, even after the brief and direction have been explained.

You struggle with feedback: You take revisions personally, repeatedly miss comments, or make changes without checking how they affect the complete video.

You go quiet when you get stuck: You leave the team unaware of a problem until the deadline has passed instead of asking for help early.
