Job Title: Payment Investigation Analyst

Location: Onsite- Gurugram

Job Description:

The role will be responsible for researching and resolving payment exceptions, investigations, returns, and reconciliation issues across commercial banking payment transactions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in U.S. Banking / Payments Operations, with robust knowledge of payment processing, transaction investigation, exception handling, and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

- Investigate and resolve ACH, Wire, and RTP payment exceptions, returns, and discrepancies.
- Understand end-to-end payment flows and perform transaction tracing.
- Read, interpret, and translate SWIFT messages to identify payment details and issues.
- Perform payment reconciliation and investigate breaks using Excel.
- Review transactions for OFAC, AML, and U.S. regulatory requirements.
- Research transactions using MTS/Mainframe systems.
- Use Pega for payment investigation, case management, workflow, and exception handling.
- Perform root-cause analysis and coordinate resolution of complex payment issues.
- Maintain investigation records and meet defined SLA and quality requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5–12 years of relevant Payment Operations / Payment Investigation experience.
- Strong experience with U.S. Banking / U.S. Payment Operations or U.S. Regulations.




- Hands-on experience with MTS/Mainframe and Pega.
- Strong SWIFT messaging knowledge with the ability to read and interpret messages.
- Experience with ACH, Wire, and/or RTP payments.
- Knowledge of OFAC and AML requirements.
- Experience with reconciliation and exception management.
- Good MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
