Role Description

We are looking for a skilled Application Support and DevOps engineer to maintain and enhance the real-time data systems powering one of the world's leading investment banks as our customer. You will ensuring the stability and availability of critical market data platforms used by trading and business teams. Performs pre-market checks, provides L2/L3 support, and investigates issues related to application functionality and data quality, coordinating with vendors and internal teams. Maintains documentation and continuously improves support processes in a global, high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L2/L3 production and application support for business-critical applications.
- Troubleshoot application, server, connectivity, performance and integration issues.
- Support and maintain applications running across Windows and Linux environments.
- Investigate application performance issues using logs, monitoring tools and system diagnostics.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts and automation for operational tasks, monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Support containerized applications running on Kubernetes.
- Participate in production deployments, release validation, rollback activities and CI/CD processes.
- Handle P1/P2 incidents, perform root cause analysis and coordinate with Development, Infrastructure, Network and Database teams.
- Monitor applications using tools such as Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics or similar.
- Support troubleshooting of DNS, network connectivity, ports, APIs and application dependencies.




- Contribute to continuous improvement and automation of recurring support activities.

Required Profile

- 4+ years of experience in Application Support / Production Support / SRE / DevOps Support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Windows-based application troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments.
- Hands-on experience with Python scripting and automation.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes / containerized applications.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps or similar.
- Strong troubleshooting knowledge covering DNS, TCP/IP, ports, application logs, services and performance issues.
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace or AppDynamics.
- Strong experience with incident management, RCA and production issue resolution.
- Experience within Capital Markets, Trading, Market Data, Banking or Financial Services is a strong advantage.

Preferred Experience

- Experience supporting market data platforms (Refinitiv, Bloomberg, FactSet, Datastream)
- Knowledge of trading or market data desktop applications
- Familiarity with vendor distribution systems (TREP, Elektron, Activ, etc.)
- Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Perl)
- Basic understanding of Linux environments
- Knowledge of capital markets and financial instruments (multi-asset exposure is a plus)
- Prior experience in the Market Data domain
