Architect (1–2 years) — Studio Thishya, Chennai

ABOUT US

Studio Thishya is an architecture, interiors, and construction studio in Chennai. We take projects from design to delivery, all in-house: residential, commercial, hospitality, and workspaces. We're small, busy, and hands-on. Your drawings get built, and you'll see them go up.

THE ROLE

You'll work under our Lead and Project Architects across design development, working drawings, and site coordination. This is for someone who can already draw well and wants real ownership quickly.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Develop concepts into detailed plans, elevations, and sections

• Produce working drawings and GFC sets for architecture and interiors

• Build 3D models and client presentation renders

• Prepare material, finish, and furniture specifications

• Visit sites to check execution against drawings and resolve issues

• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants

• Support client meetings with drawings and design options

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• B.Arch with 1–2 years of practice experience





• Council of Architecture (COA) registration

• Strong AutoCAD and SketchUp skills

• Working knowledge of a renderer (Enscape, Lumion, V-Ray, or D5)

• Photoshop for presentation work

• Understanding of construction detailing and site realities

• Comfortable on site and with contractors; Tamil is a plus

• A portfolio that shows both design thinking and technical drawings

NICE TO HAVE

• Revit or other BIM experience

• Interior detailing (joinery, false ceilings, lighting layouts)

• Familiarity with CMDA/local building rules

DETAILS

• Location: Thirumudivakkam, near Chrompet, Chennai (in office)

• Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9am–6pm

• Salary: ₹25k – ₹35k per month, based on experience

• Joining: Immediate / within 30 days
