Role Description The Procurement Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. The individual will manage end-to-end procurement activities, including identifying suppliers, preparing and issuing Requests for Quotation (RFQs), and evaluating bids for technical and commercial suitability. Daily responsibilities include negotiating pricing and terms, preparing and processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and ensuring materials and equipment meet required specifications and timelines. The role involves close coordination with project, engineering,



and finance teams to align procurement plans with project schedules and budgets. The Procurement Engineer will also maintain supplier records, monitor vendor performance, and support continuous improvement in procurement processes and cost optimization.
Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in supplier evaluation and vendor assessment to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance.
- Candidates should possess skills in managing Requests for Quotation (RFQs), bid comparison, and purchase order preparation and processing.
- Candidates should possess solid analytical skills for cost analysis, negotiation support, and data-driven decision-making.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Relevant experience in procurement or supply chain within construction, mining, or heavy equipment industries is beneficial.
- Working knowledge of ERP or procurement software, basic contract terms, and vendor management best practices is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field is desirable.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to safety and compliance standards.
