Job Context

The plant in Nagda is more than 50 years old. The plant has a mix of vintage and latest machinery which makes it difficult to manage the plant. New plants with superior technology are coming up in the market which pose a major challenge for the growth of the plant. Thus, there is need to improve technology & satisfy the customers with products at competitive price consistently.

Major Challenges

- Involvement & decision making for resolving critical issues related with trouble shooting of Energy Centre's Critical Equipment like AHP, ESP & Compressor, steam networking, Ash plant, oil station etc.
- Technical inputs to material management department for vender selection, Material selection, planning, scheduling & implementation of planned maintenance activities for increasing & availability, availability of manpower at time.
- To implement capex & perform emergency maintenance activity of the respective section within time period.

KRA1 Quality & Quantity 1. To Plan, develop, implement and monitor routine and non-routine plant maintenance development projects in Energy Centers so as to ensure Steam & Power Supply to SFD & Chemical Division to optimize and achieve their production within targeted cost and quality parameter.

- Plan & coordinate Maintenance activities to achieve targets.




- Allocation of resources as per priority jobs.
- Verification for smooth operation of existing system.
- Review customer complaints and take relevant corrective actions
- Anticipate & eliminate problems from grass root which can otherwise hamper continuous running of Energy Centre.
- Maintenance time to be minimized by incorporating new tools and ensuring maintenance practices are adhered.
- Maintain the static equipment in healthy & available condition.

KRA2 Technological 1. To identify weakness in Energy Centres existing engineering practices / systems and upgrading through new ideas & developments.

KRA3 Cost 1. Analyze and implement cost reduction and quality improvement measures

- Eliminates / reduces waste generation.

KRA4 Delivery 1. Co-ordinate the activities between related departments and services to achieve objectives of Power Plants as per target

- Integrates activities between different departments to achieve the targets.

KRA5 Innovation 1. Upgrading the CVA through modernization & technological inputs

- Proposes new schemes for increasing Dept. profitability, reliability & life improvement of equipments.

KRA6 Safety 1. Systemize safe working conditions and also the Environmental Standard

- Train the workforce for adopt safe practices in SOP.
- Eliminate lapses against unsafe conditions.
- Train the workforce to maintain optimum parameters to control plant operation to meet all the Workplace Standards

KRA7 Employee Development 1. Nurturing & Develop Human resources to create a vibrant Maintenance team

- Appraise Inspires & Stimulates subordinates to maximize their performance

towards dept. goals.

- Identifying training needs, skill gaps and recommended for same.
