BI Engineer – Job Description

Experience: 3–5 Years

Education: Bachelor's Degree – Mandatory

We are looking for a BI Engineer with strong experience in SQL, data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence solutions. The role involves working with business and technical teams to analyze data, develop reports and dashboards, optimize queries, and provide data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather functional and application data requirements from customers and business users.
- Develop data analysis solutions using SQL, Excel, and MS Access.
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, queries, and data exports.
- Develop ad-hoc SQL/Excel reports and Tableau dashboards for Finance and Sales teams.
- Perform data analysis and root-cause analysis to resolve business and data-related issues.
- Develop and test views, triggers, and functions.
- Perform quality checks on reports and data exports.
- Optimize complex SQL queries, procedures, and indexing strategies for better performance.
- Work with external databases to create analytical solutions.




- Maintain proper project and process documentation.
- Collaborate with team members on new assignments and projects and provide technical support.
- Support business users with the required data for metrics and analysis.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3–5 years of experience in DDL, DML, SQL, and data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Strong hands-on experience in SQL/PLSQL.
- Positive understanding of data modeling principles and techniques.
- Strong knowledge of Advanced Excel.
- Experience with SQL query optimization and performance tuning.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of SFDC/Siebel.
