Role Description The Fabric Sourcing – Textile role at TruColors is a full time, on-site position based in Coimbatore. This role involves identifying and evaluating fabric suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring timely procurement of materials to meet production schedules. The individual will assess fabric quality, performance, and suitability for school-wear, maintain up-to-date knowledge of textile trends, and coordinate closely with design and production teams. Daily responsibilities include managing fabric inventory levels, tracking orders, resolving supply issues, and maintaining accurate sourcing documentation and vendor records.



The role also includes collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize cost, quality, and lead times, while adhering to company standards and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of textiles, fabric constructions, finishes, and quality standards relevant to school-wear.
- Experience in fabric sourcing, supplier evaluation, and vendor relationship management in the apparel or textile industry.
- Ability to negotiate effectively on pricing, terms, and delivery schedules while maintaining quality requirements.
- Skills in inventory tracking, purchase order management, and basic data analysis for sourcing decisions.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with design, production, and logistics teams.
- Knowledge of sustainability considerations and compliance standards in textile sourcing is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; relevant experience will be considered.
