Job Description

The Fire Assistant is responsible for supporting the hotel’s Fire & Life Safety operations, ensuring guests, employees, and hotel property are protected from fire and other emergencies. The role involves regular inspections, fire-safety equipment checks, emergency response, and assisting with fire-prevention activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, emergency exits, and other fire-safety equipment.

- Ensure fire exits, stairways, and emergency routes remain explicit and accessible.

- Assist in monitoring the hotel’s fire alarm and fire detection systems.

- Respond promptly to fire alarms, emergencies, and other safety incidents.

- Assist in evacuating guests and employees during emergencies.





- Conduct fire-safety patrols throughout guest rooms, kitchens, restaurants, back-of-house areas, and other hotel facilities.

- Report fire hazards, unsafe conditions, and equipment defects to the Fire/Security Supervisor.

- Assist with fire drills, emergency training, and evacuation exercises.

- Maintain inspection records, checklists, and fire-safety logs.

- Support the Security and Engineering departments in maintaining fire and life-safety standards.

- Follow hotel emergency procedures and applicable fire-safety regulations.

- Provide basic assistance during emergencies until the appropriate emergency services arrive.
