Role -Microsoft Identity Manager -Freelancer

Need a resource with hands-on experience in IAM assessment and Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM/FIM) sunset and migration planning.

Shift Timing - 3PM - 12AM IST (Must be available and actively engaged in assigned tasks, and participate in project delivery calls as required by the client-side Project Manager for assigned projects.

Contract Duration - 3 months
Years of Experience - 8+ Years
Role - Lead current-state assessment of identity governance environments, with hands-on depth in Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM/FIM) sunset and migration planning
Evaluate Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory configurations, including group management, ownership models, and least-privilege enforcement
Assess Joiner/Mover/Leaver (JML) lifecycle processes and identify manual/exception-driven workflows for automation
Design and evaluate User Access Review (UAR) programs - frequency, reviewer types (app owner, manager, role owner), remediation tracking, and audit evidence capture




Evaluate Microsoft A5 identity/governance capabilities to determine fit before recommending net-current tooling
Review source-of-truth systems and data quality for identity populations, including K-12-specific feeds (SIS, HR) and complex personas (parent-student links, dual-role staff, contractor crossover)
Assess process maturity against NIST/ISO frameworks and produce a capability gap analysis with risk ratings
Facilitate stakeholder workshops across IT, security, HR, and business units to validate findings and co-create roadmap priorities
Develop target-state IGA architecture and phased remediation roadmap, including data cleanup, UAT, and cutover estimates
Produce executive-ready deliverables (current-state summary, gap analysis, strategy/roadmap, executive readout) and support sign-off and transition to execution
