Role summary

This role sits at the analytical core of a storage-focused energy engagement. We're looking for someone with real hands-on experience building financial and technical models for battery storage deployment — not a broad renewable-energy analytics generalist, but someone who brings deep quantitative rigor to how storage scales in India, from day one.

Key responsibilities:

Technical modeling -

- Build and maintain financial and technical models for battery storage deployment: sizing, siting, cost-benefit analysis, and payback/ROI projections, tailored to specific client and site constraints
- Run scenario analyses modeling outcomes under different storage capacities, renewable integration levels, or regulatory conditions, to inform both internal strategy and client-facing proposals
- Translate raw market and operational data — load curves, tariff structures, technical constraint points — into transparent, decision-ready storage recommendations

Engagement & feasibility support -

- Support feasibility studies for new storage pilots, working directly with field and technical teams to ensure models reflect real deployment conditions rather than theoretical assumptions
- Maintain dashboards and trackers on active storage pilot performance, cost trends, and technology benchmarks across sites




- Contribute technical input to playbooks and best-practice documentation intended to be replicated across other engagements

Stakeholder-facing analysis -

- Prepare data-driven presentations and briefing materials for internal leadership and client counterparts
- Present and defend technical recommendations directly to non-technical senior stakeholders in a way that's clear without being oversimplified

Market awareness -

- Stay current on battery storage technology developments, cost curves, and regulatory changes relevant to the Indian power market
- Proactively flag how market or regulatory shifts should change existing models or recommendations, rather than waiting to be asked

Requirements

- Degree in engineering, data science, or a quantitative field; power systems specialization strongly preferred
- 5+ years with hands-on focus on battery storage analysis, power-sector analytics, or closely related technical consulting
- Demonstrated depth in storage-specific modeling strongly preferred — candidates with strong power-sector quantitative backgrounds and partial or adjacent storage exposure are also worth a conversation
- Working understanding of the Indian power/storage regulatory and tariff landscape
- Advanced financial/quantitative modeling skills, ideally tested against real (not purely academic) storage projects
- Ability to work directly and credibly with technical engineering staff, not only with policy or strategy-level counterparts
- Full-time, office-based in Delhi — not a remote or part-time arrangement
