SPM (Special Purpose Machine) Manufacturing Manager oversees the design realization, fabrication, precision assembly, and commissioning of custom automated machinery

Role & responsibilities

- Manage SPM manufacturing projects from the initial concept and design phase through final shop-floor assembly and client commissioning.
- Establish daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to ensure custom machine builds stay on track and meet client delivery deadlines
- Supervise mechanical assemblers, fitters and production supervisors to maximize machine utilization and minimize downtime
- Ensure strict compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and precision alignment tolerances (using dial indicators and precision gauges)
- Oversee procurement of critical hardware, pneumatic/hydraulic components, and fabricated parts while monitoring cost-effectiveness.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Production Engineering
- Deep understanding of mechanical assembly, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, sensors, automation logic, and reading complex 2D/3D engineering blueprints
