The Gold Central Department is responsible for the receipt, issuance, monitoring, reconciliation, and control of gold and silver used in manufacturing operations. The department ensures accurate metal accounting, compliance with SEZ regulations, and strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Position Title

Gold Central Officer

Key Responsibilities

- Receive gold and silver from authorized sources and verify weight, purity, and documentation.
- Issue gold and silver to production departments as per approved requisitions.
- Manage metal entries in system/records for receipt, issue, return, and balance.
- Handle daily metal closing and ensure accuracy of gold & silver balances.
- Perform tally of issued and non-issued gold & silver metal.
- Ensure proper tracking of gold and silver movement between departments.
- Maintain accurate records of gold & silver issue, non-issue, scrap, and return.




- Coordinate with production team for smooth metal control.
- Ensure compliance with SEZ norms, company SOPs, and audit requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required data and documentation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality, discipline, and security of metal operations.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Sound knowledge of gold and silver metal handling and inventory control.
- Experience in metal accounting, entries, closing, and reconciliation.
- Robust attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel, ERP/inventory systems preferred).
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- High integrity and responsibility due to the sensitive nature of the work.
