Role & responsibilities :

- Take a prominent leadership role at the Centre, driving advanced prototyping, system integration and translational research
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers developing cutting-edge products in healthcare, automation and IoT
- Own the full product development lifecycle embedded design, mechatronics, sensor integration, algorithms and wireless communication
- Secure and manage large, multi-crore R&D; projects as PI/Co-PI with government agencies and industry partners
- Establish and manage advanced research laboratories and drive prototype-to-product translation
- Build and sustain industry-academia collaborations and mentor IP generation within the team

Preferred candidate profile

- B.Tech/B.E./B.S. in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation/ECE + 15 years relevant experience, OR M.Tech in the same fields + 13 years, OR Ph.D. in the same fields + 10 years




- Minimum 10+ years leading multidisciplinary R&D; teams in system integration, application development and rapid prototyping of printed adaptable/hybrid electronic systems, robotics and medical technologies
- Extensive experience establishing and managing state-of-the-art research laboratories, and driving translational research from prototype to product
- Proven track record securing and managing large-scale, multi-crore funded projects (as PI/Co-PI) from government agencies and industry partners
- Strong technical expertise across the full product development lifecycle: embedded system design, mechatronics, sensor integration, algorithms and wireless communication protocols
- Robust patent portfolio and a history of successful industry-academia collaborations
