Job Summary
NIPHA Limited is looking for an experienced Sr. Manager / AGM – SCM to lead the Supply Chain function for its Farm Solutions manufacturing unit at Chandannagar. The role will be responsible for ensuring seamless material availability, strategic procurement, inventory optimization, vendor development and end-to-end supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end Supply Chain Management covering Procurement, Purchase Planning, Stores, Inventory and Material Planning.
- Develop and execute material procurement strategies aligned with production plans and business requirements.
- Ensure timely availability of RM, bought-out components, consumables and engineering items.
- Drive vendor development, evaluation, negotiation and performance management.
- Identify alternate sources and develop a reliable and cost-effective vendor base.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times and commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels, ageing, slow-moving/non-moving stock and working capital.
- Coordinate closely with Production, PPC, Quality, Engineering, Stores, Finance and Sales for smooth material flow.
- Develop and monitor MRP / Material Planning and procurement schedules.




- Improve inventory turns, procurement lead time and material availability.
- Establish systems for supplier performance monitoring, including quality, delivery and cost.
- Handle supply-chain issues, shortages, delays and critical material requirements proactively.
- Drive cost reduction, value engineering and procurement efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure proper documentation, systems and compliance related to procurement and stores operations.
- Lead and develop the SCM team and establish effective processes and controls.

Candidate Profile

- Graduate in Engineering / Commerce / Supply Chain / relevant discipline; MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Materials Management will be an advantage.
- 12–18 years of relevant experience in SCM, Procurement, Materials or Supply Chain leadership.
- Strong experience in manufacturing / engineering / automotive / agricultural equipment / farm machinery industries preferred.
- Should have hands-on experience in strategic procurement, vendor development, inventory management and material planning.
- Solid negotiation, analytical, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with ERP/SAP and advanced Excel is preferred.
- Candidates currently working as AGM / DGM / Sr. Manager – SCM, Purchase, Materials or Procurement may be considered.
