Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and manage the overall operations of the hospital, ensuring operational efficiency, quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee day-to-day hospital operations, including clinical, administrative, and support functions.
- Coordinate and supervise Medical, Nursing, HR, Finance, Billing, Laboratory, Radiology, Stores, Patient Relations, IT, Marketing, Canteen, and other departments.
- Ensure high standards of patient care, clinical quality, safety, and service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, hospital SOPs, clinical protocols, infection control, biomedical waste management, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor hospital performance through MIS, KPIs, operational reports, incidents, complaints, and departmental performance data.
- Work closely with the CEO, Chairman, Medical Director, HODs, and Senior Management Team on strategic and operational decisions.
- Develop and implement strategic plans, operational plans, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, infrastructure, equipment, and financial resources.
- Lead recruitment, manpower planning, performance management, employee development, and staff engagement in coordination with HR.
- Identify operational gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve efficiency and quality.
- Support business development, marketing, digital initiatives, patient acquisition, and service growth.
- Improve patient experience, guest relations, communication, and service quality.
- Standardize hospital systems and processes across branches and new facilities.
- Maintain effective relationships with government authorities, regulatory bodies,



professional organizations, and external stakeholders.
- Support legal, regulatory, risk-management, and compliance-related matters.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, transparency, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Provide regular updates and performance reports to the CEO and Chairman's Office.
- Perform other responsibilities assigned by the CEO/Chairman.

Eligibility & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification in Hospital/Healthcare Management or MBA will be an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hospital administration/healthcare operations.
- Strong experience in hospital operations and multidisciplinary team management.
- Knowledge of NABH standards, hospital quality systems, SOPs, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in HR, budgeting, MIS, performance management, and operational planning.
- Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and team-management skills.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Tamil/Telugu/Hindi will be an advantage.
- Experience with Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS/HIS) is desirable.
