Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Procurement professional with a strong background in Building Materials/Building Products to manage end-to-end procurement activities, vendor development, sourcing, negotiations, and supply coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business and project requirements.
- Manage sourcing and procurement of building materials, construction products, and related categories.
- Identify, evaluate, develop, and manage vendors and suppliers.
- Conduct commercial negotiations to achieve competitive pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Handle RFQs, comparative statements, purchase orders, contracts, and commercial documentation.
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per project/business requirements.
- Monitor vendor performance, quality, delivery schedules, and service levels.
- Develop alternate sources and maintain a robust vendor base.
- Work closely with Projects, Planning, Finance, Stores, Quality, and Operations teams.
- Analyse market trends, commodity prices, and supplier capabilities.
- Drive cost optimization, value engineering, and procurement efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and approval processes.




- Manage supplier relationships and resolve commercial/supply-related issues.

Required Experience & Background

- 10-18 years of relevant procurement experience.
- Mandatory: Strong background in Building Materials / Building Products / Construction procurement.
- Experience in categories such as pipes, fittings, sanitaryware, CP fittings, tiles, flooring, faade materials, electrical products, construction chemicals, hardware, or other building products will be relevant.
- Robust experience in vendor development, sourcing, negotiations, cost control, and procurement operations.
- Candidates from established building materials, construction, infrastructure, real estate, or manufacturing organizations will be considered.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- MBA/PG qualification in Supply Chain / Procurement / Operations will be an advantage.
