Key Responsibilities

- This requires comprehensive knowledge and good understanding of the industry practice of Mortgage Laws.
- Should have positive knowledge of TSR vetting and identifying and highlighting the potential issues in the TSR and closing the TSR with empaneled lawyer relating to LAP business.
- Responsible for handling day to day Title Search Report (TSR) related issued and allocation of TSR to empaneled lawyers.
- Verify Original Title Documents (OTD) and ensure they are in line with LSR and initiate Disbursal Approvals.
- Monitoring the quality of legal reports being submitted by the empaneled lawyers, monitoring vendor TATs as well as internal legal TATs and vendor billing.
- No supervisory responsibility but provides guidance and support to across all verticals like Sales, Credit, Technical & Operations etc.
- Should have good knowledge and be able to draft and review the documentation related to Mortgage. Should be able to draft and/or review the day to day agreements for the Mortgage Vertical (Such as Indenture of Mortgage, MODT, Indemnity, Undertakings etc.)
- Follow up on clearance/legal documents for mortgage deals from business units, customers & external lawyers.




- Coordinating with the credit and sales team for TSR Check through empanelled lawyers & Mortgage Creation, providing an internal legal opinion as and when required.
- Coordinating with Agencies / External Auditor for audit of Title Search Report & Mortgage Creation, providing an internal legal opinion as and when required.
- Should have requisite knowledge for advising the stamp duty required to be paid on the documents to be executed on day to day basis.

- Strong communication skills are required to guide and coordinating with other stakeholders in the organisation i.e. Sales, Credit and Operations team on a regular basis to facilitate business needs
- Requires a good knowledge of how it contributes to the goals in the business unit.
- Must have good analytical skills to develop new solutions and influencing decisions through advice to all stake holders.
- Should have relevant experience in handling mortgage legal and TSR check through empanelled lawyers in a NBFC or a Bank
- Strong inter personal skill, effective communication skill, a positive attitude, and self-motivated.
