Role & responsibilities

1. Responsible for efficient purchasing of Raw Materials/Production Materials & inventory supplies.
2. Periodically evaluates vendors/suppliers and advises reporting manager when vendors are not meeting requirements.
3. To streamline the system and procedure for effective inventory control to ensure readily available stocks to meet the dispatch schedules.
4. To raise purchase requests and negotiates prices, delivery and credit terms & maintains accurate purchasing records.
5. To maintain rapport and good working relationships with vendors & keeps accurate vendor records.
6. To compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and to communicate and resolve with vendors when there are discrepancies.
7. Evaluates inventory reorder levels and quantity price breaks to determine the most economical purchasing of inventory and supplies concerning the companys cost of capital.
8. To identify cost saving opportunities that will enhance the profitability of the company.
9. To assist in the development and achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
10. Performs other purchasing or inventory control duties as necessary or as requested by his/her reporting manager.





Preferred candidate profile

1. Educational Background

- B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- Alternatively, B.Com / BBA with strong technical procurement experience

2. Experience

- 2–5 years in purchase/procurement
- Experience in electrical, fabrication, EPC, or manufacturing industry
- Exposure to project-based procurement is a strong advantage

3. Must-Have Skills

- Strong negotiation and costing skills
- Good understanding of electrical and fabrication materials
(e.g., copper, GI, MS, fasteners, earthing components, etc.)
- Ability to work under pressure (especially during dispatch cycles)
- Strong follow-up and vendor management skills
- Valuable in Excel / ERP systems
