Role & responsibilities

- Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees of the maintenance department
- Coordinate work performed by outside vendors
- Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates
- Maintain, Control and monitor inventory
- Implement safety policies and procedures for the department
- Ability to make Daily report/MRM report/Monthly expense report.
- Able to work in a quick-paced environment and multi-task effectively
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics
- Good exposure in quality and Environment management system ISO 9001/14001 system
- Effectively delegate any maintenance issues to be resolved on each shift and small projects to the right skills in the team, planning and managing effective works
- Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities, and lead the team to deliver effectively
- Ensure KPIs are met by working on the overall plan, including management of, and reporting
- Schedule both internal and external work(s) maximizing planned down time and reducing unplanned downtime
- Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems are undertaken which can be statutory, regulatory etc..
- Develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend combined with a strategy to manage expenditure

- Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility
- Manage systems and equipment data storage and maintain high levels of standards and accuracy
- Manage the process of disposal of obsolete machinery, plant and equipment from gaining agreement to write off to physically removing it and its secure and lawful disposal




- Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions
- Produce written reports and make presentations
- Undertaking continuous training and development
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization
- Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors

Preferred candidate profile

- Assist project construction in establishing project objectives, procedures, data collection methods, and performance standards
- Manage the process of the introduction of new machinery, plant and equipment from drawing up the specification, to managing suppliers through to full installation in collaboration with all relevant parties
- Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required
- Prepare scheduled or necessary updates of construction activities and determine personnel and equipment requirements
- Create and administer testing protocols for monitoring project performance
- Inform supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes, and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met
- Oversee budgetary, scheduling, and project databases, and report regularly to department head on progress as well as on problems that could significantly affect cost or schedule
- Manage compliance of Construction activities with Engineering standards and specifications
- Ensure that designated buildings, plants and facilities are fit for purpose and provide proactive support/solutions when required
- Good knowledge of Word, excel, PowerPoint, Auto-CAD, PFD and P&ID; preparation and review
- Develop and control the project plan lifecycle
